Coverage A - Dwelling
Covers your main structure (dwelling) including attached "structures" from covered perils. These perils can include fire, wind and hail depending on type of coverage you have.
Coverage B - Other Structures
This part of your policy covers structures that are not attached to you main dwelling. These include things like fences, sheds and detached garages.
Coverage C - Personal Property
In short, this covers all of your property inside of your dwelling from perils such as wind, fire and hail. Your personal property are things like furniture, clothing and electronics. Note: things like furs, jewelry and firearms may have limited coverage.
Coverage D - Loss of Use
In the event of a loss where the insured can no longer use their home, this insurance part will help cover the expenses of NOT being able to use the home. This may include things like hotel stays, food and travel.
Coverage E - Personal Liability
Did you know your homeowners insurance could help cover you personally from liability? It sure can with Coverage Part E. This part will cover any liability against you for damage to another person's property or bodily injury.
Typically does not cover liability arising from professional/business liability.
